Manu Kone picked up a knee injury after France’s 4-1 win over Switzerland at the under-21 European Championships on Wednesday night.
The 22-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder was forced to leave the field in the 19th minute and was seen leaving on crutches.
The extent of the injury is not yet known, but Liverpool fans will be paying close attention as he was one of the top targets this summer.
