Sanchez is back at Arsenal… for now

Alexis Sanchez has returned to Arsenal, following an extended absense after competing in the Confederations Cup.

The Chilean striker returned on Monday night after he came down with a bout of flu over the weekend which delayed his return to England.

He trained on his own at the club’s London Colney training ground with fitness coach Barry Solan amid rumours that he could be on his way to Manchester City very soon.

He has made no secret of his desire to play Champions League football – something that Arsenal aren’t going to be able to offer him this season – and according to the Daily Mail, City are willing to pay Sanchez £320,000 a week.

When asked about the delayed absence from training, Arsenal boss Arsenal Wenger quipped: “Your job is to be suspicious and is built on mistrust and my job is built on trust! That’s why I prefer my side [of the story].”
