It is being widely reported that Roberto Firmino is set to leave Liverpool when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old Brazilian forward has been with the Reds since his £29m move from Hoffenheim in June 2015.
Apparently, the club were hoping to agree a new one-year deal but the player has decided he wants to move on to pastures new.
But where?
He may not be as sharp as he was when he played his part in Liverpool’s title-winning 2019/20 season, but Firmino could still cut it in the Premier League. He would be a perfect fit at Newcastle United or Aston Villa, but its more likely he’ll head abroad, possibly back to Germany or even across the Atlantic to end his career in his homeland.
Wherever he decides to go, there’s no doubt the Premier League has been better for having Bobby Firmino in it for the last eight years.
