Brentford Football Club, founded in October 1889 in West London, is a professional football club known as “The Bees” that currently competes in the Premier League, England’s top division.

Historically, Brentford started in amateur football, joined the London League in 1896, and advanced through the Southern League before entering the Football League in 1920. The club’s most successful era was under manager Harry Curtis from 1926, achieving promotions to the First Division and a highest-ever league finish of 5th place in 1935–36. After fluctuating between divisions during the mid-20th century and surviving serious financial threats in the 1960s, Brentford experienced ups and downs including multiple promotions and relegations.

More recently, under the ownership of Matthew Benham from 2012, the club has focused on smart recruitment and data-driven strategies, culminating in promotion to the Premier League in 2021. Brentford moved from their long-term home at Griffin Park to the Brentford Community Stadium in 2020, a modern venue with a 17,250 capacity.
