Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak will not be included in the squad for their high-profile match against Liverpool, as manager Eddie Howe describes the ongoing dispute as a “lose-lose” situation.
Amid reports of a £110 million bid from Liverpool and Isak’s own accusations against Newcastle, the forward’s future remains uncertain with the transfer window set to close on September 1.
Howe maintains that the club is open to welcoming Isak back if he decides to stay after the window.
