Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has issued a public apology to the club’s supporters following the crushing 4-1 defeat at Arsenal in the North London Derby on Sunday.
The heavy loss, sealed by a hat-trick from former target Eberechi Eze, was labelled a “demolition” and leaves Spurs in ninth place.
Frank took full responsibility for the performance, stressing that the team did not show the required intensity for such a fixture.
“It’s extremely painful. It was a bad performance and completely the opposite of what the intention was before we came here.
“We can only apologise to the fans for this performance.”
He went on to promise fans that the squad would address the issues immediately ahead of their next Premier League match.
