Liam Rosenior begins eight-year project at Chelsea

Stamford Bridge has a new man in charge, as Liam Rosenior arrives from Strasbourg to replace Enzo Maresca, who was sacked by Chelsea last week.

The 41-year-old has signed a contract that keeps him at the club for the next eight years, reflecting the owners’ desire for long-term stability.

Rosenior enjoyed a successful stint in France and is highly regarded for his tactical flexibility and ability to develop young players.

He will be joined by assistants Kalifa Cisse and Justin Walker as they look to revive Chelsea’s push for a Champions League spot.

Rosenior’s first training session took place on Wednesday, where he met with the first-team squad.

The appointment has been met with mixed reactions from supporters, but the hierarchy remains confident that Rosenior is the right man to lead the club’s ambitious project through the end of the decade.
