New Tottenham interim boss Igor Tudor has delivered a stark assessment of the club’s current situation, describing the battle to avoid relegation as “a question of life and death”.
Spurs sit in 16th place, just four points above the drop zone, and are winless in 2026.
Tudor has urged his players to adopt a “small team mentality” and focus entirely on securing points over style.
“The points come as a consequence of the training and the game,” he said. “That’s the focus. That’s the main and only focus we need to have.
“I believe that the mentality changes by training. By doing the right things there and then to have enough training sessions that you can transmit this thing to your team that on Sunday this can be seen from the fans on the stadium.
“That’s the key. Hard work in other ways, there is no other possibility.”
There was a slight boost for the Croatian today, as he confirmed Pedro Porro and Kevin Danso have returned to training and could feature in Sunday’s trip to Fulham.
