Aston Villa dismantle Forest to reach Europa League Final

Aston Villa produced a flawless performance at Villa Park on Thursday night, crushing Nottingham Forest 4-0 (4-1 on aggregate) to secure their place in the Europa League Final.

Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, Unai Emery’s side left nothing to chance. Ollie Watkins opened the scoring in the 36th minute, followed by an Emi Buendía penalty shortly after half-time.

The night belonged to captain John McGinn, who scored twice in the final 15 minutes to put the tie beyond doubt.

Forest, who were missing star man Morgan Gibbs-White due to a facial injury, struggled to contain Villa’s intensity and managed only two shots on target.

Villa will now face Freiburg in the final in Istanbul on May 20, keeping Emery’s quest for European glory alive.
