Mikel Arteta has received a major lift ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday evening.
William Saliba, Leandro Trossard, and Riccardo Calafiori all returned to first-team training on Tuesday after recent injury scares.
Saliba had missed the last two matches with an ankle problem, while Trossard and Calafiori both limped off during the weekend’s FA Cup win over Mansfield.
However, the news is less positive for Martin Odegaard and Ben White, both of whom missed the final session before the squad travelled to Germany.
Odegaard continues to struggle with a knee issue, while White remains sidelined with a mystery injury that has kept him out since the North London derby against Tottenham.
Gabriel, Declan Rice, and Martin Zubimendi are all expected to return to the starting line-up after being rested at the weekend.
