Arsenal are preparing for a busy summer transfer window, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season’s Premier League and Champions League campaigns.
Bruno Guimaraes has been catching their eye, according to ‘man in the know’ David Ornstein. The 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder has been impressive for Newcastle this season and attracing a lot of interest.
With the Magpies needing a miracle to qualify for Champions League football next season, Guimaraes could be set for pastures new.
“Then you go into that sort of midfielder bracket – somebody I think off the top of my head that Arsenal and other clubs really like is Bruno Guimaraes. He can play in the eight role and the six,” said Ornstein.
“Newcastle will hope to keep hold of him, but there is a release clause though. Anyone who is going to take him, he’s got to deliver straight away. Arsenal may be looking.”
