Gareth Bale wants to join Manchester United, if the latest media rumours are to be believed.
Real Madrid’s resident Welshman would prefer to stay at the Bernabeu for one more season, but if he does leave he wants it to be to Old Trafford, according to The Independent.
The decision seems to rest on whether or not Real can lure Kylian Mbappe, but Monaco are playing hardball and are likely to force the Spanish giants into forking out a massive, record-breaking £160m if they want their man. If they do, then Bale is expected to be one of the first out of the door to make way for the new arrival.
When asked about the future of Bale, plus Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, coach Zinedine Zidane replied: “I hope the BBC stay for this season. I hope everyone remains. I want everyone who is here now to stay but anything can happen right up until August 31.”
