The latest from the Rumour Mill is that Chelsea are close to signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The 23-year-old midfielder is in the final year of his Arsenal contract and appears surplus to requirements at the Emirates.
Liverpool have previously been linked with a possible move, but now Chelsea look set to agree a £35m deal with the Gunners.
According to the Evening Standard “Talks have stalled between Arsenal and Oxlade-Chamberlain over a new contract. The Gunners are unlikely to allow Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Oxlade-Chamberlain to run their deals down and the latter is most likely to leave, with Wenger considering a sale.”
While not a marquee signing that either Liverpool or Chelsea fans want to see, Oxlade-Chamberlain is a reliable utility man with plenty of Premier League experience – something that both squads could do with this season.
