Everton have appealed against their second points deduction for breaching the Premier League’s financial rules. The Toffees had a 10-point deduction reduced to six on appeal in February.
The latest appeal process won’t be decided until 24 May, five days after the final Premier League game so, with Sean Dyche’s side currently 16th and two points above the drop zone, it is possible we won’t know whether they will be playing Premier League or Championship football next season until the appeal is heard.
