In what is fast becoming a daily Liverpool transfer update, we bring you the latest news on the big names linked with moves in and out of Anfield.
The Daily Mirror are reporting that the Reds are preparing one last big £70m bid for Naby Keita, with the player desperate to move despite Leipzig standing firm.
Philippe Coutinho’s future is just as uncertain. Liverpool continue to publicly state that the Brazilian midfielder is not for sale at any price, yet there are rumblings that £80m may be enough to encourage them to the transfer negotiating table. The player is remaining tight-lipped about a possible move to Barcelona, but its almost certain there will be continued daily developments over the next week or two.
Meanwhile, down on the south coast Southampton are refusing to budge on the sale of Virgil van Dyke. The player hasn’t travelled on their pre-season trip to France and has reportedly walked out of training. However, there’s a glimmer of hope that there may be an imminent move, with talk of the Saints looking at a possible replacement in the form of Tottenham’s Kevin Wimmer.
So a quiet week on the Liverpool transfer front, despite the rumour mill running on overdrive!
