Leeds United Football Club is a professional football team based in West Yorkshire, founded in 1919 following the collapse of Leeds City FC. They play their home matches at Elland Road. Leeds enjoyed fluctuating fortunes during their early decades, securing promotion to the First Division in 1924 but also facing several relegations.
The club’s golden era came under Don Revie in the 1960s and 1970s, winning two English league titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup, and two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups, while also securing a formidable European presence. Another league title came in 1991–92 under Howard Wilkinson, making Leeds the last champions before the formation of the Premier League.
After a period of decline, relegations, and financial struggles in the 2000’s, Leeds returned to the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa in 2020 before dropping back to the Championship and returning to the top-flight in 2025/26. Their traditional kit is all white, and they have fierce rivalries with Manchester United.
