Once again, Liverpool have drawn a Premier League game that they really should have won, as Burnley frustrated Arne Slot’s side at Anfield.
The Reds had a great chance to take an early lead when Cody Gakpo was fouled in the box, but Dominik Szoboszlai’s penalty crashed off the crossbar.
Liverpool eventually broke the deadlock just before half-time when Florian Wirtz fired home a powerful strike following excellent build-up play from Hugo Ekitike.
However, Burnley remained resilient and found an equaliser in the 65th minute, Marcus Edwards latching onto a through ball from Florentino Luis and slotted the ball past Alisson Becker to make it 1-1.
