Liverpool have confirmed that defender Conor Bradley will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a non-contact injury during Thursday’s goalless draw at Arsenal.
While initial fears of an ACL rupture were dispelled by scans, the club revealed that Bradley has sustained “significant damage” to both bone and ligaments in his left knee.
He is scheduled to undergo surgery next week. The news is a major blow for manager Arne Slot, who is already dealing with defensive shortages and the absence of Mohamed Salah with Egypt at AFCON.
With Bradley out, the Reds are expected to rely heavily on Jeremie Frimpong and Joe Gomez, though rumours suggest the club may now enter the January market for defensive cover.
