Manchester City Latest
Manchester City Football Club, commonly referred to as Man City, is a Manchester-based professional football team competing in the Premier League. Founded in 1880 as St. Mark’s (West Gorton), the club adopted its current name in 1894. City’s home ground is the Etihad Stadium in east Manchester, where they have played since 2003 after leaving Maine Road.
Historically, City experienced periods of both success and struggle, with major honours in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The club underwent a dramatic transformation following significant investment after its 2008 takeover by the Abu Dhabi United Group. Since then, they have become one of England’s most successful sides, winning numerous trophies, including multiple Premier League titles and a historic continental treble (Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League) in 2023.
City are renowned for their attacking style under manager Pep Guardiola and hold the distinction of being the first English men’s club to win four consecutive Premier League titles (2021–2024). Their honours include ten league titles, seven FA Cups, eight League Cups, and the 2022–23 UEFA Champions League.
