Spurs are the latest club to be linked with a move for the veteran German goalkeeper, with reports emerging today that Barcelona may be open to a sale to balance their finances.
While Vicario has been the established number one in North London, a series of inconsistent performances has led the recruitment team to look for experienced alternatives.
Ter Stegen’s ability to play out from the back is seen as a perfect fit for the system currently employed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
