Tottenham Hotspur’s Xavi Simons expressed his delight after scoring his first goal for the club in the Champions League during the 3-0 victory over Slavia Prague on Tuesday night.
The Dutch playmaker, who slotted home a penalty in front of the South Stand, said the feeling of scoring at home on a European night was “extra special.”
“It is really nice to score the goals, but feeling great on the pitch, that is the most important for me and I’m enjoying it and really happy to be in this moment,” he said.
Simons’ impressive performance in the number 10 role helped Spurs secure a comfortable win and provided a timely morale boost for the club.
