Nottingham Forest are finalising the appointment of Vitor Pereira as their new head coach following the sacking of Sean Dyche.
In a move that will set a new Premier League record for managerial changes in a single campaign, Evangelos Marinakis has turned to the former Porto and Wolves boss to secure Forest’s top-flight status.
Dyche was dismissed late on Wednesday night after a goalless draw with Wolves, despite his side recording a staggering 35 shots without finding a breakthrough.
Pereira, who previously kept Wolves in the division before a difficult start to the current season led to his exit from Molineux, is expected to be in the dugout for the Europa League clash against Fenerbahce next week.
Forest currently sit just three points above the relegation zone. The Portuguese tactician is a familiar face to Marinakis, having previously won a league and cup double under the owner at Olympiacos in 2015.
