Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, nicknamed Wolves, is a professional football club founded in 1877 in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. One of the twelve founding members of the Football League in 1888, Wolves play at Molineux Stadium, their home since 1889. Renowned for their old gold and black kits, they are nicknamed “Wolves” and have a fierce rivalry with West Bromwich Albion, contesting the Black Country derby.

Wolves are three-time English league champions (1954, 1958, 1959), and have won four FA Cups and two League Cups. The club’s golden period was in the 1950s, particularly under manager Stan Cullis. Wolves played a significant role in the creation of European club competitions through pioneering international floodlit friendlies.

After fluctuating between divisions in later decades, Wolves were revitalized in 2016 when acquired by Fosun International, returning them to the Premier League.
