Sergio Aguero’s future is up in the air after it was announced that he would be leaving Manchester City on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Barcelona were early favourites to sign the Argentinian striker, but now it appears that he wants to stay in the Premier League a little longer in order to move up the all-time goalscoring list.
The 32-year-old is fourth in the list, with 181 goals – six behind third-placed Andy Cole and 27 behind second-placed Wayne Rooney, while Alan Shearer remains top on a massive 260 goals.
This certainly seems like a strange reason to base your future career upon. It’s more likely that his agent is trying to find out how serious Chelsea are in their interest in the player.
