Newcastle United are in talks to sign Stade de Reims striker Hugo Ekitike.
Eddie Howe’s side failed in their bid to sign the 19-year-old striker in January, but are looking to bolster the squad ahead of an expectant season and are trying again.
The Magpies want to add cover for Callum Wilson, who was out for four months last season with a calf injury.
Ekitike scored 10 goals in 24 Ligue 1 appearances last season for Reims.
