The draw for the Champions League round of 16 was conducted this morning in Nyon, and the Premier League’s representatives face a formidable set of fixtures.
Manchester City have been drawn against Real Madrid in what is undoubtedly the tie of the round.
Other English clubs also learned their fate: Chelsea will face holders Paris Saint-Germain, while Newcastle United have been handed a glamour tie against Barcelona.
Premier League leaders Arsenal take on Bayer Leverkusen, and Liverpool face Galatasaray.
Tottenham Hotspur, currently battling domestic turmoil, will go up against Atletico Madrid.
