Borussia Dortmund are keen to take Olivier Giroud off Arsenal’s hands, according to reports.
Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis and head of recruitment Sven Mislintat are currently in Germany trying to secure the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, having already had a £44m offer turned down.
These latest developments sugges that some sort of swap deal now looks likely, with the French international being used to sweeten the deal for the Gabonese international, who the Gunners hope will be an ideal replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
Giroud has only started one Premier League game for Arsenal this season and is desparate for first team football in order to claw his way into Didier Deschamp’s France squad for the World Cup Finals in Russia.
