Liverpool are hoping that Adam Lallana will be fit for next month’s Premier League game with Southampton.
The 29-year-old is back in training after picking up a thigh injury back in August.
“It’s absolutely good news,” manager Jurgen Klopp told the club’s official site. “Maybe after the next international break he could be back.
“It would be fantastic for us of course. Everybody knows what kind of a quality player he is.
“Of course it’s better if Adam could have scored in one game or another, but there is nothing we can do about this. It’s just good that he’s back in a few weeks.”
It’s good news for Klopp after losing Sadio Mané for up to six weeks at a time when the Reds are struggling to find form.
