Liverpool and Arsenal in for Lemar

Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has fuelled speculation that Thomas Lemar may be on his way to the Premier League this month, after revealing that the French club may be tempted to sell him in this transfer window if a big offer is received.

“We are not used to selling in the winter, but the transfer window lasts until the end of the month and many things can happen,” he hinted.

Arsenal have been keeping close tabs on the 22-year-old winger as they prepare for life without Alexis Sanchez, who looks like is on his way to Man City.

But Liverpool have now emerged as favourites to sign the Frenchman after cashing in £142m on Philippe Coutinho and may well be prepared to pay over the odds in order to replace him and maintain their momentum as they prepare for glory in the Champions League and a top four place to secure qualification for next year.
