Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are all keeping a close eye on AC Milan defender Koni De Winter, CaughtOffside say. The three Premier League clubs are named as the main suitors for the 24-year-old, who only arrived in Italy last season and has grown in stature since.
They’re not alone either. Scouts from Newcastle, Tottenham, Leeds and Brentford have also been along to watch him recently, so there’s no shortage of English interest.
He’s reportedly coming on nicely at Milan and Premier League interest is high. It hasn’t all been smooth, mind. His form has had its ups and downs, including some disappointing Europa League performances.
Don’t expect anything to happen quickly. He isn’t an imminent priority for any of the clubs, and he isn’t thought to be desperate to leave Milan. January and next summer are the windows where he’s likely to come up again. No fee has been mentioned.
United and Chelsea have also been looking at Como defender Jacobo Ramon, so De Winter isn’t the only name on their lists.

Nothing wrong with Liverpool looking, but a 24-year-old who’s been up and down in Europe isn’t a statement signing. January feels too soon to be splashing out on him. Summer makes more sense, once you’ve seen how his season finishes. And with United and Chelsea scouting Ramon as well, there’s a lot of moving parts between now and January.
