Manchester United could be preparing to swoop for Watford’s Ismaila Sarr if they can’t get Jadon Sancho.
The Hornets’ winger has been attracting attention from United and Liverpool for some time and is believed to be Plan B for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if the club are unable to sign Sancho in the summer.
Sarr would be a lot cheaper than Sancho – a more sensible £40m rather than the £100m+ Borussia Dortmund want for their man – and the money saved could go towards the huge fee they would have to pay to sign their number one transfer target – Erling Haaland.
