Manchester United yet to reopen Kobbie Mainoo contract talks

Reports this morning suggest that Manchester United are yet to formally reopen contract negotiations with star midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.

Despite his integral role in the club’s recent resurgence under Michael Carrick, the 20-year-old’s current deal remains unchanged.

Meanwhile, veteran Casemiro has reportedly expressed his desire to continue playing in Europe once he leaves Old Trafford this summer.

The 34-yer-old Brazilian defensive midfielder has been praised by Carrick for his leadership during United’s climb into the top four.

In other squad news, the club is reportedly prepared to listen to offers for goalkeeper André Onana, currently on loan at Trabzonspor, this summer for significantly less than the £50 million paid in 2023.
