Newcastle United have agreed a deal to sign defender Sven Botman from French club Lille for a fee of £32m plus £2.5m add-ons.
The 22-year-old Dutchman has completed his medical and agreed a five-year contract, with the formalities to be concluded imminently.
He will become Newcastle’s third signing of the transfer window after Aston Villa left-back Matt Targett and Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope.
