Oliver Glasner admits he is “not good enough” as Palace exit looms

In a remarkably candid press conference this afternoon, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner admitted he is “not good enough” to solve the club’s current crisis.

The Austrian is under immense pressure after a run of only one win in 15 matches, including a disappointing 1-1 draw at Zrinjski in the Conference League last night.

Glasner, who has already announced he will leave in the summer, took full responsibility for the team’s struggles, noting that he has failed to successfully integrate new signings following the January sale of Marc Guéhi to Manchester City.

“We’re not in the best moment right now,” he admitted. “I understand and take responsibility for everything, because I’m responsible for the whole team.

“I’m just not good enough to replace the players we sold. I’m just not good enough to integrate the new players in a way.”

Reports suggest the Palace board may now bring forward his departure before Sunday’s vital clash against bottom of the table Wolverhampton Wanderers.
