Ozil’s agent reveals positive contract talks

Mesut Ozil’s contract talks with Arsenal are “going in a positive way”, according to his agent.

Rumours that the Gunners are preparing to sell the German midfielder in January to avoid losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season have been fuelled by speculation that Inter Milan, Besiktas and Manchester United are keen on the 28-year-old.

However, Dr Erkut Sogut claims that he may well be staying put.

“Ozil wants to play another two to three years in the Premier League,” he told Turkish media outlet, Fanatik. “Our contacts with Arsenal continue and are going in a positive way.”
