Mohamed Salah has been named CAF African Player of the Year for 2017.
The Liverpool forward has been on fire since joining the Reds at the start of the season, scoring an incredible 17 goals so far this season and helping Egypt reach the World Cup Finals and Africa Cup of Nations final last year.
“Winning this award is a dream come true, 2017 was an unbelievable year for me,” he said after receiving the trophy at the ceremony in Ghana capital, Accra.
“I would like to dedicate it to all the kids in Africa and Egypt, I want to tell them to never stop dreaming, never stop believing.”
