Wolves relegated as West Ham secure vital point

Wolverhampton Wanderers‘ relegation from the Premier League has been confirmed.

Their eight-year stay in the top flight came to an end following a 0-0 draw between Crystal Palace and West Ham United at Selhurst Park on Monday evening.

The result leaves Wolves 16 points adrift of safety with only 15 points left to play for, confirming their descent into the Championship.

For West Ham, the stalemate was a massive boost. The Hammers have moved two points clear of the relegation zone, placing immense pressure on Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs, currently in 18th place, are winless in 15 league matches and have not played in the second tier of English football since 1978.
