New deal for De Bruyne

Kevin de Bruyne has signed a new contract with Manchester City that runs until 2025.

De Bruyne has scored eight goals and provided 16 assists in 33 appearances this season, and is instrumental to Pep Guardiola’s side’s dominance of the Premier League.

“Signing this contract was a straightforward decision,” said the 29-year-old Belgian midfielder.

“This football club is geared for success. It offers me everything I need to maximise my performance.”

Man City director of football Txiki Begiristain added: “He is a consummate professional whose dedication to Manchester City during his time here has been nothing short of remarkable.

“We are delighted he is our player and I look forward to watching him during his peak years here.”
