Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro would like to play in Spain again one day, but it won’t be any time soon, ESPN report. He told Spanish radio show El Larguero: “It’s my country and I like the league.” He added that it wouldn’t be fair to talk about other clubs while he’s under contract, and said Spurs have treated him with respect.
He did address the summer talk. Barcelona and Real Madrid never made him an offer, he says. A few clubs asked about his situation, but he didn’t pay them much attention because there was nothing serious behind it. His guess is that Spurs’ high asking price put people off, and he’s happy that they rate him as one of the best.
“Right now, it would be very unfair to talk about anything other than my club because I’m under contract. They have shown me a lot of respect, which is mutual.”
Porro, 27, signed a new contract until June 2031 before the World Cup so he could concentrate on the tournament. He played 47 games in all competitions last season, the most of anyone in the squad, and says he feels very much loved at the club.
He joined from Sporting CP in the summer of 2023 after a loan spell that January, and played for Real Valladolid before that. If he does go back to LaLiga, he reckons he could settle in at any club.

Nothing to get worked up about. He’s under contract until 2031, he’s played more than anyone in the squad and he’s honest that Spain is the long-term plan. Most fans would take that over a player who says all the right things and then pushes for a move. If Madrid or Barca do come knocking one day, Spurs hold all the cards.
