Sergio Aguero is leaving Manchester City at the end of the season after the club decided not to renew his current contract.
The 32-year-old Argentinian forward has scored 257 goals in 384 appearances for the club since signing from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
“Sergio’s contribution to Manchester City over the last 10 years cannot be overstated,” said Man City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak.
“His legend will be indelibly etched into the memories of everyone who loves the club and maybe even in those who simply love football.”
The big question now is ‘where will he go?’.
Already Paris St Germain have expressed an interest, while Barcelona, Juventus and Inter Milan are also being linked.
Chelsea are said to be closely monitoring the situation and could make a move if Aguero chooses to remain in the Premier League.
